Garden in Pimlico, London

A small garden for a passionate plant lover.  The very simple design is dictated by the choice of plants and space available. The garden faces south, but the height of the house casts shade on the garden nearly all year round.

A very tall wall is covered with ivy, which has proved a perfect foil for the huge Wisteria multijuga ‘Alba’.  Camellia reticulata, tree peonies, scented shrubs and Zantedeschia ‘Green Goddess’ with a variety of bulbs are some of the plants chosen for interest in all seasons. Pots of various sizes can be repositioned for a change or seasonal interest.
