Chelsea 2000

‘A Garden For All Time' for London’s Evening Standard newspaper. Olive trees, underplanted with erigeron daisies and woolly thyme, appear to float on the canal. Brushed steel trims give support to the watertight containers I designed for the olives, hidden below the canal surface. William Pye’s ‘Vortex of Water’ sculpture is framed by the steel arch and draws one’s eye into the garden. Gold medal.
