Chelsea 1995

Show garden to celebrate the centenary of the National Trust.  I chose a bold planting scheme to commemorate the Trust’s centenary.  All the plants were in shades of red, white and green with touches of burgundy.  Shallow black slate fountains joined by a rill of the same stone, two gloss-black pergolas and a dry-stone background wall though which a stone urn was glimpsed all served as a foil for the planting.  Gold medal.
