Andalusia on the River Delaware

Our masterplan and for the public and private gardens surrounding this 200-year old house of great architectural significance, within a 100-acre estate, continues to be implemented.  The house is perched above the Delaware River, which dominates the views and atmosphere.  This influenced me greatly when I was asked by the owners to expand the existing gardens in 2014.  Our work includes designs, working drawings and planting plans for a private pool garden and the public green walk, “father’s walk”, a riverside circular garden where visitors can meet and a garden serving the visitor’s centre. I have also added to the tree collection within this property, now of arboretum status in the Morton Register of Arboreta.

A formal kitchen garden, orchard, terraces around the house, water features, a new drive and entrance, guest accommodation and parking also feature on our masterplan.
