Chelsea 1993

Design for London’s Evening Standard newspaper. A 'Woodland Garden' featured a little birch wood and stream surrounding a ruined stone tower, all contained by a turf and ivy wall.  The romantic planting of iris, arum lilies and climbing roses was inspired by the gardens of Ninfa in Italy. After the show I moved the tower to my Lancashire garden where it rests among the bluebells in the woodland.  Gold medal.
