Emma Mazzullo Ba(Hons). Dip LA. M.L.I. M.S.G.D
Practice Director



Emma has been part of my team since 1994 and has overseen commercial and domestic landscape projects ranging from a half acre roof garden in the City of London and three Chelsea Flower Show gardens to many large, private gardens in Britain, Europe and America. Emma studied Landscape Architecture at Leeds Metropolitan University, obtaining BA (Hons) and Dip LA. She is also a fully qualified member of the Landscape Institute and Society of Garden Designers. Emma has a wide range of experience throughout the landscape and garden design industry, having worked for both architectural and design build firms. Her technical and organisational skills have proved invaluable in managing projects in both the public and private sectors, including experience in dealing with various authorities and development corporations. Emma has recently finished a three year term as an external examiner at Leeds Metropolitan University.


 

Libby Russell MA(Hons) Mod. History, MLA

Libby has been with us since 1999. Her work includes design, working drawings, planting plans, feasibility studies, historical research as well as supervision on smaller projects and working on larger projects worldwide. Libby studied Modern History at Oxford University and obtained various professional qualifications in the financial and marketing industries before re-training at Greenwich University gaining her Masters degree in Landscape Architecture. She is an associate of the Landscape Institute and speaks French. She is currently also designing her own garden in Somerset.


Marco Battaggia. Dottore in Scienze Forestali, MLI
Project Landscape Architect

Marco’s vast experience and knowledge in computer imaging and drafting has fuelled an important aspect of communicating sketch ideas and detailing in my offices. Marco obtained a degree in Scienze Forestali from Padua University, Italy and a postgraduate diploma in Landscape Architecture from the University of Central England. He is also a fully qualified member of Landscape Institute and is fluent in Italian and French. In addition to Marco’s computer skills, he has served as a project landscape architect for 9 years. He has overseen a variety of projects from feasibility to completion, including several urban landscape strategies, the rejuvenation of an historic park, hotel grounds development, and several private residences in the U.K., Europe and Lebanon.


Christopher Jordan. BSc(Hons) Hort & LSCPE, ALA
Project Landscape Architect


Christopher has been with the practice and an associate of the Landscape Institute since 1997. He works on a variety of projects, including those in Europe, Canada and United states, masterplan preparing construction drawings, planting plans and often overseeing the day-to-day administration of the project. Christopher studied Horticulture at the Pennsylvania State University, USA before graduating with a master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh. Christopher’s other experience includes garden history research, furniture design and horticultural writing


Jonathan D. G. Griffiths. Ba(Hons). Dip LA. ALI
Senior Landscape Architect

Jonny joined the team in 1995 and as such has led projects in Britain, Europe and America. He specializes in masterplanning but also sees projects through to final implementation at detailed design level. Before joining ALB, Jonny worked in the private sector designing private gardens in the UK and Europe and worked on masterplanning for a major housing development in the commercial sector. Jonny is also a skilled furniture designer and specializes in the hand drafting and colour rendering of landscape master plans and details.
