The 1999 masterplan for the gardens of a new Hotel and Spa resort
in Tuscany. The design features gardens surrounding the main historic
Medician Villa, with new drive and entrance forecourt, restaurant
area and parking facilities underground. A series of descending formal
gardens and terraces were designed for various Spa activities such
as a water walk, meditation and yoga quiet area. In this scheme water
was a powerful feature throughout in linking the terraces, culminating
in a luxurious exercise pool.
